Treatment considerations
Clients who may be vulnerable to mental health crises are also welcome at our clinic. Where appropriate, we work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and the client’s personal support network to ensure continuity and safety of care.
Please note that we do not provide emergency, crisis, or 24/7 services. If a higher level of care is required and is already being provided by another service, we may offer treatment as part of a shared-care arrangement. This is always coordinated in consultation with the client and the other treating professional.
We are unable to initiate treatment when there is currently severe substance misuse, an acute psychotic episode, or an eating disorder. In these situations, appropriate primary specialist (medical) treatment should first be arranged before treatment with our service can begin.
